Join in Three Steps
L4D2 lobby matchmaking often fails to find community servers; connecting directly is the most reliable way.
-
Turn the console on first
Enable the developer console under Options → Keyboard/Mouse, then press ` or ~ in game.
-
Copy connect from this site
Open the server IP page and copy the full connect command for the server you want; don't guess ports yourself.
-
Paste into the console and press Enter
If a server is full, don't force it: join any other server and type !ip to see open slots in the group, or go back to the IP page and pick another one.

What we are working on
Plugin and server changes go in the devlog; gameplay breakdowns and operations notes go in the blog.
About Anne Server
Anne is a player-run L4D2 community and site for server status, gameplay, stats, and team-up.
Gameplay and settings come from the current server config and plugin docs. Troubleshooting and report notes come from problems we actually hit. We don't mass-rewrite other sites.
Explore official Left 4 Dead 2 campaign maps in your browser, with co-op play, special infected training, and spawn testing.
The servers run on player sponsorships
Machines, bandwidth, and relay routes all cost money, and the community has no company behind it. Qualifying sponsorships unlock SourceBans admin automatically, for 30 to 365 days.
Live Tools Are in the Full Portal
Live features such as server status, player stats, team-up, and ban lookup live in the full portal; the handbook stays lightweight and focuses on explaining the gameplay clearly.
